This guide was written to aid those who want to use R on High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters but are not sure where or how to start. I had just spend my last three weeks figuring out how to access and use R on the University of Sheffield’s HPC clusters and learning how to write scripts (bash and R) to run my code. It entailed cross-referencing multiple websites, such as various universities’ HPC guides, background information on parallel computing, writing and running bash scripts, and using command line. I thought it might be helpful to consolidate the different bits of information I gleaned through this endeavour into one site that might make it easier for a novice to start out.

If there are any errors or ways to improve my code/make it more efficient, please do let me know! I hope you find it useful.
